Position title: (Internally known title)    Billing Analyst -Development

Purpose Statement:
To enable the BSS Delivery team meet the desires and deadlines of the Affiliates, other CIO department supporting the Program Managers as well as supporting the operational delivery of the Billing service, guiding the Billing Analysts to improve their skill set and capabilities.

•    No direct or indirect reports
•    No budgetary responsibilities

Main Responsibilities:

•    Provide expert 3rd line support to the IT Business Services team ensuring the successful delivery of multiple end-to-end production bill runs on a monthly basis
•    Responsible for problem resolution within the Billing production system, working with Billing teams in order to deliver each bill run to a tight deadline both within CIO and with Affiliate teams.
•    Pro-actively identify opportunities to increase operational efficiencies, developing and implementing agreed improvements to increase overall service delivery.
•    Manage all change and incident requests.
•    Assist in all Derby releases and change process within the Production Environment (release new scripts and develop new processes).
•    Effective utilization of daily controls and reports to ensure on-going enhancement of operational billing service
•    Manage configurations and enhancements of  Arbor (11/FX) Modules
•    Responsible for writing and maintaining Shell Scripts.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Arbor (11) Modules:        
•    COM, MCAP, CAP, MIU  -  Rating;
•    BIP and Extracting          -   Billing;
•    EFT, LBX, LIU                 -   Payments;
•    JNL                                  -  Journals;
•    COL                                 -  Collections;

•    A solid understanding experience of Arbor Operational processes including Rating, Billing, Payments and Collections in a production environment.
•    Key technical skills required are Oracle, UNIX, PLSQL and, Shell Scripting
•    Key technical skills optional would be Java / XML
•    A basic understanding of mediation (Comptel) would also be useful. 

Key Measures:
•    Work closely with PM's to deliver BSS solutions for Affiliates outside of vendor deliveries, involving analysis, solution designing engaging directly with Affiliates.
•    Monitor IPC Q's for new CR's, give assessments etc
•    Achievement of SLA 's with affiliates, including but not limited to:
•    Bill runs on time;
•    Collection schedule executed according to planning;
•    Journals executed as agreed;
•    Rating processed daily;
•    Usage processing executed daily.
•    Provision of professional billing services.

Working Relationships and Team Working:

Member of a solid group of BSS Development team supporting operational functions across CIO as well as with the Affiliates listed within the SLA‘s, along with the equivalent departments for all affiliates and internal Billing teams.
